The trip to climb in Ecuador with AMG was an incredible and unforgettable experience! I am an American who had no experience with Ecuador or its amazing mountains, but from the time I stepped off the plane I knew I was in good care. Within ten days, I had hiked the trails of Cayambe Coca National park, and successfully climbed Pasochoa, Ruminahui, Cotopaxi, and Chimborazo! I was able to do it with confidence because our guide stressed safety, he knew the best routes, and he ensured that we were all prepared.
We stayed in beautiful and comfortable accommodations, ate amazing local food, and got to relax in the natural hot springs. We were also able to experience the city of Quito, and visit The Center of the world (Mitad del mundo) in Quito.
I can't say enough about how amazing it was to see the magnificent view from the top of Cotopaxi or to stand atop Chimborazo, the closest a person can stand to the sun! This was the trip of a lifetime, and I give the entire experience a 10 out of 10.

Under AMG's expert guidance, what started as a basic idea to climb Cotopaxi, turned into a fantastic and once-in-a-lifetime experience in Ecuador. AMG guides are passionate about making the trip a memorable one for their clients, let alone that one of it's guides is a legend in the climbing world in that area. Amazing acclimatization plan and professionalism had our entire group of 6 summit without issue. On top of that, the guide (Fredy Inty Tipan) made sure we experienced our other passions in his beautiful country, spending two days rock climbing at local crags. AMG also lines up fantastic lodging - staying at beautiful Hacienda's and lodges the entire time - while making sure the food is top notch (catering even to my vegan lifestyle).
